How Sapphire Crypto Market Watch Evolved From An Idea Into A Crypto Market App
I published the first Market Watch article on August 24. The idea was to publish a daily post that covered the largest movers of the day, as well as various other metrics and additional analysis through market tools and on-chain data, ultimately providing the reader with a brief yet comprehensive view of the crypto market without needing to visit multiple sites. Essentially, a one-stop solution that saves you time and gives you immediate access to vital data and information.
I later reduced the frequency because many of the metrics changed little over 24 hours. This was particularly true of the sentiment data from CoinGlass and the Altcoin Season Index. However, with the recent market spike, the Altcoin Season Index has been much more active, driven by the leading altcoins that make up the index. The Fear and Greed Index needle is also on the move and no longer stagnant.
At this point, an all-in-one crypto app seemed like the most logical next step. Readers could now have all this data and more at their fingertips, with the ability to monitor the market, set alerts, compare and analyze various sectors within the industry, and access additional on-chain data and resources. That idea gave birth to the app, and it’s now nearly complete and ready to be packaged for Google Play.
What Makes The Sapphire Crypto Market Watch App Unique?
From the moment you open the app, the experience is unique. The Overview page begins with the Bitcoin price chart, which, as we all know, sets the tone for the broader market. Immediately below it are three neat, compact units: the Fear and Greed Index, Market Breadth, and Altcoin Season Index. Scroll down, and you’ll find your typical coin index by market cap. Instantly add a coin or token to your watchlist as you scroll.

Open the asset for additional data, price alerts, and Sapphire Crypto research and related articles. Below that is a converter to help you calculate your buys and swaps between assets, less fees, of course. Below that are the latest crypto news articles, along with the latest articles published on sapphirecrypto.org. This is the Overview page and is quite comprehensive regarding its inputs and structure.
I won’t detail the entire app and its structure before launch. However, I can say the app has 10 unique destinations/pages. The Sectors page, however, is very interesting. You can monitor more than a thousand sectors such as DeFi, DePIN, RWA, and memecoins. You can also set a percentage trigger of your own choosing that circles that particular sector/unit when triggered.
For example, a 3% setting will mark that sector with a green border when it gains more than 3% and a red border when it falls by more than 3%. This helps monitor sector performance and lets memecoin traders and investors track specific sectors such as real-world assets or DePIN. The aim is to help make your crypto experience easier and more informed. Bringing all the Market Watch features together helps achieve that objective.
Additional Benefits of the Sapphire Crypto Market Watch App
The Android app is free to download and use. However, a Pro subscription might be considered in future versions. You also don’t need to create an account or log in with email or Google. Downloading to separate devices creates a unique experience for the watchlist settings and price alerts. Multiple watchlists are currently under consideration for version 2.0. Some investors and traders require extensive watchlist portfolios.

The app has also been designed to remain lightweight and responsive, despite the amount of market data and functionality it provides. The app provides market intelligence, research, and tools without executing trades or handling users’ crypto. This enhances safety and makes it an intelligence application, not a trading or custodial service. Even with its extensive functionality, there is room to grow and enhance existing functionality.
Final Thoughts
Having access to key data points and intelligence is at the heart of viable investment and trading decisions. Furthermore, in a market like crypto that moves so fast, staying abreast of events and movements within the market is critical. Monitoring sectors is also important, especially Layer1s, as a rally in this sector often triggers what I call the Layer1 Effect. Identifying this early can be a real advantage.
This is also an important app for newcomers and those wanting to familiarize themselves with the crypto market, especially as blockchain-based and Web3 models are being incorporated into the broader economy and business protocols and ecosystems. Ultimately, it’s a new and improved economic construct that isn’t going away and is likely to transform our world in the years to come. All the best, and I hope you enjoy using the Market Watch app! See you next time!
