DeSpeed – World’s First Decentralized Internet Speed Data Layer

DePIN Projects On The Rise

There are so many new DePIN projects entering the market. For various reasons, I have stumbled upon several new projects lately that I have chosen to ignore. However, today’s project looks rather interesting and has just been released. This is imperative regarding securing a significant airdrop. My token allocation for the first two epochs of the Grass airdrop was significantly higher than the remaining epochs.

It is always best to get in as early as possible. Early users are sometimes rewarded with exclusive rewards, making early adoption more viable. As I mentioned, expect the DePIN sector to be flooded with new projects. This is why I have been addressing early and relevant projects. Future leaders in any particular niche are often the first to arrive. These are usually projects driven and motivated by purpose, not hype.

As soon as any niche garners attention, opportunists arrive to make a quick fortune. I will scrutinize projects more severely as the bull market matures. Projects like Nodepay, Gradient Network, Kaisar Network, and Teneo are still relatively early. However, they entered the market before the hype and should be solid choices for dedicated DePIN miners.

A New Rival

DeSpeed’s first tweet on X was on December 31st, a “Coming Soon” announcement. This project is still very early; mining before the masses arrive will be a good move. The only problem with a new project is that there isn’t much data to research, which makes it very difficult to analyze. However, the presentation, dashboard functionality, and UI are excellent.

As mentioned, the presentation reveals a lot regarding the caliber and dedication of the team. One of the projects I recently rejected has the same UI and dashboard as Grass. It is a perfect replica, including the color theme. This speaks volumes, as zero effort was made regarding the presentation. It’s simply just a slapdash copy/paste project. I prefer to avoid these as a rule, without exception.

The official X account has already acquired 42K followers, and engagement is strong. There are various quests related to X, Discord, and daily activity. Most DePIN dashboards have a “Quests” tab where daily check-in streaks and other activity-based rewards can be earned. The installation process was quick and easy, and I was up and running within minutes—just how I liked it!

I am glad I discovered DeSpeed so soon after it launched. The Validator Browser Extension launched on January 4th, making it a little over a week old. It’s time to start mining Bytes and building another decent airdrop allocation. I have been running the extension for some time. Everything is operational and running smoothly.

Airdrops On The Horizon

Altcoins are still struggling. However, a new airdrop season is upon us, with Jupiter kicking off the next round with another JUP airdrop. I wish I had been more active on the Jupiter DEX. However, I still managed to qualify for three separate airdrops, which was a pleasant surprise for January.

DePIN airdrops are likely the easiest to qualify for. Users can passively mine points by downloading a browser extension, later converted to token allocations in various airdrops. I recently published an article addressing my top mobile DePIN applications. Silencio has just distributed the first round of its SLC-based airdrop.

This was quite a substantial airdrop, especially for early adopters who maximized the mapping of noise pollution via the mobile application. It’s a case of hit-and-miss. Some airdrops turn out to be incredibly lucrative. However, you must be exposed to be a partaker of the spoils. So, cast your nets deep and wide!

Final Thoughts

I have not discovered what chain DeSpeed runs on. I would love to acquire this information, so if anyone knows, please let me know. My overall impression of DeSpeed is good. However, I don’t have much to analyze at this early stage. As mentioned, the presentation is good, and the dashboard’s UI is sleek, crisp, and professionally presented. Anyway, that’s it for this one! See you next time!
