Hive & The LeoVerse – Leading Innovation & The WEB3 Race

Do You Understand The Shift?

Do a little online research and you will soon find out that WEB3 is a lot more than simply a buzzword. We are seeing WEB3-based platforms popping up left, right, and center. Many of these are focusing primarily on social media and other content-related models. This is the beginning of a shift. The shift is however a lot more than simply crossing over to WEB3, but monetization. That’s right, money, is often the strongest of motivators. In many ways, this is the primary motivation.

Elon Musk has realized this, and quickly moved to create a monetization model for Twitter “content creators” and publishers. Evidently, it appears as if he interprets this to be the primary reason as well… and therefore, his abovementioned decision. It’s clear that Musk believes that if monetization can be incorporated into already existing WEB2 platforms, the argument for WEB3 will become somewhat obsolete. To a point, he is probably right, in terms of the masses.

However, it’s only a delay in what I believe to be an inevitable transition. For now, the masses will be happy to remain with WEB2 entities, especially if monetization has now become an additional perk. Honestly, the aspect of monetization is a significant driving force for WEB3 adoption. However, there is a lot more to it than that. The actual earning models, themselves, are far superior on WEB3. Furthermore, immediate ownership of earnings is also a very big deal.

What’s the point of primarily earning on WEB2 if you are constantly having to jump through numerous hoops in order to gain custody of your earnings? I understand that for many, these are extremely viable opportunities, and have been built and maintained over many years. However, the increase and implementation of global restrictions and limitations will eventually eat its way into these earning models as well. Ultimately, causing a lot of friction, and possibly even termination, in certain instances.

Initiating & Validating The Shift

Diversifying into WEB3 is the most logical and defensive move a content creator can make. It’s all about positioning yourself for tomorrow. Unfortunately, nowadays we see a lot of the “live for today” mentality, even in the Crypto space. People on Hive are generally quite forward-thinking. There is an understanding and appreciation of freedom, decentralization, and actually holding and owning one’s own capital and earnings. This is where Hive is actually killing it!

What is taking place on Hive in terms of immediate ownership of earnings is unparalleled. Even many so-called WEB3 platforms do not pass along the earnings to users in “real-time”. The difference is a uniquely structured protocol. An actual economy that is structured within the workings of the Hive blockchain is where the beauty and brilliance lie. Leofinance devs are leading the way in creating alternative and additional methods of enhancing and supporting this already effective model.

Recent changes in regard to Leofinance and its native token, LEO, have created somewhat of a buzz, as well as a surge in the token’s price. Even though earnings on the Hive blockchain take several days to become accessible, they are immediately assigned to your account. You know that within seven days you will be able to power up your tokens, or whatever else you would like to do with them. This puts Hive and Leofinance way ahead of the pack.

Monetization & Micro-earning

The future of social media is very much a case of monetizing interaction and engagement, and not just for the entity. We have seen Facebook and Twitter monetize their user base for decades. In terms of who is best able to execute this idea… it’s definitely WEB3. The idea is a personal brand that is also personally controlled and operated. We have many times gone over the idea of decentralization, and I think we can all agree that there is no perfect expression of decentralization.

Not only that but there never will be. However, at this stage of the game, Hive is light-years ahead of anyone else. Truthfully, I doubt whether that can easily change. This is the headstart and upper hand Hive has due to being an innovator and pioneer in the space. While the doubters and unbelievers continue to express doubt and unbelief, the building continues unabated. Hive is creating a virtual “super city” loaded with applications and experiences.

Final Thoughts

Technology has a way of replacing existing ideas and ways of doing things, despite how dominant or powerful they may be. History rhymes, and eventually WEB3 will eat WEB2… that’s just the simple principle of progression. The incorporation of AI is also going to be a game changer for WEB3. Things are heating up and moving forward, despite a lack of recognition and acknowledgment. The builders simply continue building! See you in the land of tomorrow! Until next time, all the best!
